Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.
To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

Publish Word content on the web without messy markup
Copying from Word into a website editor usually drags in inline styles and odd spacing. DOCX to HTML maps headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and links to clean semantic tags you can paste into a CMS or template.
- Moving a policy or article from Word into WordPress or another CMS.
- Converting documentation drafts into HTML for a help centre.
- Getting clean markup to style with your own CSS.
Structure is kept, styling is removed
Word heading styles become HTML headings, and lists, tables and links are kept. Inline styles, scripts and form elements are removed, so the page takes on your site's own look.
- Use Word's built-in Heading 1, Heading 2 styles in the source so headings map correctly.
Exact layout isn't reproduced
Fonts, colours, spacing, columns, text boxes and page breaks don't carry over. Images are included inside the HTML file, which can make it large; extract them separately with Extract Images from DOCX if you'd rather host them.
- Check headings came through as headings, not bold paragraphs.
- Check tables and nested lists, which are the most likely to need tidying.
DOCX to HTML: questions
Will the HTML look exactly like my Word document?
No. Structure (headings, lists, tables, links) is kept, but fonts, colours and spacing are removed so your site's styles apply.
Are images included?
Yes, embedded inside the HTML file, which can make it large. Use Extract Images from DOCX if you prefer separate image files.
Why did my headings become paragraphs?
They were formatted manually (bold, bigger text) instead of using Word's Heading styles. Apply Heading 1, 2 and so on, then convert again.
Is the HTML safe to paste into my site?
Scripts, forms, inline styles and similar risky markup are stripped during conversion.
