Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.
To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

Get the plain text out of a Word document
Plain text is what you need when pasting into a web form, a CMS, a translation tool or an email that mangles Word formatting. DOCX to Text extracts the words from a .docx file without opening Word.
- Pasting an essay or cover letter into an application form's text box.
- Moving document content into a website or blog editor without stray formatting.
- Reading a .docx on a device that has no Word installed.
- Feeding document text into a translation or grammar tool.
Paragraph text, no formatting
Bold, fonts, colours and layout are dropped; paragraphs are kept on separate lines. Table cells come out as separate lines of text. The output is a UTF-8 TXT file, so Nepali, Hindi and other scripts are preserved.
- Need headings and lists preserved? Use DOCX to HTML.
What isn't included
Headers, footers and text inside images aren't extracted. Only .docx files are supported; save older .doc files as .docx in Word or LibreOffice first.
- Check tables, which lose their structure in plain text.
DOCX to text: questions
Can I convert a .doc file?
Only .docx. Open a .doc in Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs and save it as .docx first.
Are headers, footers and footnotes included?
Headers and footers aren't. The main body text, including tables, is extracted.
What happens to tables?
Each cell's text appears on its own line, so the grid structure is lost.
Is my Word document uploaded?
No. The text is extracted in your browser from the file on your device.
