Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.

To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

Turn a CSV table into JSON records

APIs, JavaScript apps and many no-code tools want JSON. CSV to JSON uses the first row as field names and turns each following row into an object. It's also a quick way to check how a CSV will look to code, with each row as an object.

  • Preparing seed data or fixtures for an app.
  • Converting a spreadsheet export for an API import.
  • Turning a contact or product list into JSON for a static site.

Match the delimiter, keep a header row

Choose comma, semicolon or tab to match how your file separates columns; files exported with European regional settings often use semicolons. The first row must contain column names; empty lines are skipped.

All values are strings

Numbers and true/false values come through as text, for example "42" rather than 42, so convert types in your code if needed. Duplicate or blank header names produce confusing keys; fix them in the CSV first.

  • Check the record count matches your data rows.
  • Quoted fields containing commas or line breaks are handled, as long as the quotes are balanced.

CSV to JSON: questions

Does my CSV need a header row?

Yes. The first row supplies the field names for every JSON object.

Why are my numbers in quotes?

All values are kept as strings to avoid changing data such as phone numbers or IDs. Convert types in your code if needed.

What does the output look like?

An array of objects, one per row, like [{"name":"Asha","city":"Pokhara"}].

My CSV uses semicolons. Will it work?

Yes. Choose semicolon (or tab) as the delimiter before converting.
