How to convert FLAC to MP3

Why convert FLAC
FLAC is lossless and great for archiving, but files are large and some car stereos, older players, phones and apps don't play it. MP3 at 192 kbps plays on practically everything and takes a fraction of the space.

Decoding FLAC uses your browser's own audio engine. Current Chrome, Edge and Firefox handle it. If a file won't open in your browser, try one of those.

Questions
Is FLAC to MP3 a big quality loss?
MP3 is lossy, but at 192 kbps most listeners can't tell it apart from the FLAC on normal headphones and speakers.
Are tags and album art kept?
Don't count on it. The converter focuses on the audio; re-tag the MP3 in your music app if you need artist and album details.
Which browsers can open FLAC?
Current Chrome, Edge and Firefox decode FLAC. Support in other browsers varies.
