Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.
To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

Convert TIFF scans and photos to JPG
Scanners, fax software, cameras and print workflows often produce TIFF, which most browsers, upload forms and chat apps can't show. TIFF to JPG converts them to a small, universally accepted file.
- Uploading a scanned TIFF document to a form that accepts only JPG.
- Sharing high-resolution TIFF photos by email or chat.
- Converting archive or fax images for viewing on a phone.
Quality and batches
The quality slider trades size for detail; TIFF files are often very large, so even a high quality gives a big saving. Each file in a batch is converted separately.
Multi-page TIFFs convert only the first page
Only the first page of a multi-page TIFF (common with fax and document scans) is converted. Unusual TIFFs, such as CMYK print files or 16-bit images, may convert with shifted colours; check them against the original. Transparency becomes white.
- Check the page count of the source if it came from a scanner or fax.
TIFF to JPG: questions
My TIFF has several pages. Are they all converted?
No, only the first page. For multi-page scans or faxes, export the pages as separate images or as a PDF from the scanner or fax software instead.
Why do browsers not show TIFF files?
Most browsers can't display TIFF. This tool decodes it with a small TIFF library (about 100 KB) that loads only for TIFF files.
Will the colours stay accurate?
For ordinary RGB scans and photos, yes. Print-oriented CMYK or 16-bit TIFFs may convert with shifted colours; compare with the original.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The TIFF is decoded and converted in your browser.
