To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

Round profile pictures, avatars and logos

Most apps show profile photos in a circle, and cropping one yourself lets you decide exactly what stays in the frame instead of letting the app guess. Circle crop cuts the largest circle out of your photo, makes the corners transparent and saves a PNG you can drop into a slide, website, email signature or team page.

  • Profile pictures for LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord and team pages.
  • Round headshots for presentations, CVs and email signatures.
  • Circular logos, badges and stickers with a transparent background.

Drag to frame, PNG keeps the corners clear

The circle's diameter is the photo's shorter side, so nothing is scaled up. Drag the circle along the longer side to choose what's inside; double-click centres it. PNG (the default) and WebP keep the corners transparent. JPG can't store transparency, so the corners are filled with white or a colour you pick.

  • Need an exact size such as 400 × 400? Resize the result afterwards.
  • Batch: add several photos and frame each one on the preview.

Leave some room around the face

Apps often crop a little more on top of your circle and add a ring or status badge, so keep the face comfortably inside rather than touching the edge. Transparent PNGs show as white or black depending on where they're placed; check the result on the background you'll use.

Circle crop image: questions

How do I crop a picture into a circle?

Add the photo, drag the circle over the part you want to keep and press Crop to circle. You get a PNG where everything outside the circle is transparent.

Why are the corners white instead of transparent?

You chose JPG output, which can't store transparency, so the corners are filled with a colour. Keep PNG or WebP output for transparent corners.

What size is the circle?

Its diameter is the shorter side of your photo, so nothing is enlarged. Resize the result afterwards if you need an exact size like 400 × 400.

Can I crop several photos at once?

Yes. Add a batch, frame each photo on the preview, and download them together.
