Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.

To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

How to resize a PNG

Drop the PNG and type the width or height you need; with the ratio locked the other side follows. Transparent areas stay transparent because the output is a PNG with its alpha channel. For icon sets, add several files and give them all the same size.

Step by step

  1. 01Add PNG files.
  2. 02Type a width or height, or a percentage.
  3. 03Unlock the ratio and pick Crop to fill for an exact square.
  4. 04Resize and download PNGs.

Logos, icons and screenshots

PNG is the format for graphics with sharp edges and transparency. Common jobs are fitting a logo into a 512 × 512 or 1024 × 1024 app-store slot, making favicons and social icons, or shrinking a retina screenshot to half size for documentation.

  • Social profile and app icons: square, 400–1024 px.
  • Favicons: 32, 180 or 512 px squares.
  • Docs screenshots: half the retina width keeps text crisp.

Keep the file light

Resized PNGs can still be large because PNG is lossless. If size matters, run the result through Compress PNG, which reduces colours and usually saves another 50% or more.

Questions

Will my transparent background stay transparent?

Yes. The output is PNG with the alpha channel intact. Only JPG output would fill transparency with white.

Can I make a small logo bigger?

You can, but enlarging blurs edges. For logos, export a larger size from the original file, or use the SVG if you have one with SVG to PNG.

Why is my resized PNG still large?

PNG stores every pixel losslessly. Compress PNG reduces it to a palette of colours, which shrinks graphics a lot without visible change.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The PNG is resized in your browser.
