Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.

To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

Save only the pages you need as a new PDF

Extract PDF Pages copies a chosen set of pages into a clean new document, leaving the original untouched. It suits the moments when a form asks for "page 1 and the signature page" of a long agreement, or you need one chapter of a report for a colleague.

  • Sending pages 1–3 of a lease plus the signature page to a landlord or bank.
  • Pulling the statement pages for a single month out of a yearly export.
  • Sharing one chapter or appendix of a long report.

Type pages and ranges separated by commas

Enter page numbers like 1-3,5,9-10. Ranges are inclusive, and a page listed twice is only included once. Page numbers are the physical page positions in the file (the first page is 1), which may differ from numbers printed on the pages if the document has a cover or roman-numbered front matter.

  • Use Delete PDF Pages when it is easier to name the pages you don't want.
  • Use Split PDF when you want every page as a separate file.

Confirm the right pages came across

Extracted pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text stays selectable and quality is unchanged. Invalid ranges (like page 12 in a 10-page file) are rejected with a message rather than silently skipped.

  • Check the output page count matches what you typed.
  • Look at the first page of the result to make sure you counted from the physical first page.

Extract PDF pages: questions

How do I type the pages I want?

Use numbers and ranges separated by commas, for example 1-3,5,8-10. Ranges include both ends.

Does the original PDF change?

No. A new PDF with only the selected pages is created; your original file isn't modified.

Why did I get the wrong pages?

Page numbers here are positions in the file, starting from 1. If the document has a cover or roman-numbered front pages, the number printed on a page can differ from its position.

What's the difference between extract and split?

Extract makes one PDF from the pages you choose. Split makes a separate PDF for every page.
