Fix sideways or upside-down PDF pages

Phone scans and landscape tables often end up sideways, and documents scanned with the stack upside down need a 180° turn. Rotate PDF turns every page by the angle you choose and saves the change into the file, so it opens the right way for whoever receives it.

Pick 90°, 180° or 270° clockwise

90° turns pages a quarter-turn clockwise, 270° is the same as a quarter-turn anticlockwise, and 180° flips upside-down pages. The rotation is added to whatever rotation each page already has, and it is stored as a page setting rather than by re-drawing the page, so text quality and file size stay the same.

  • Page appears rotated to the left? Choose 90° clockwise.
  • Page appears rotated to the right? Choose 270° clockwise.
  • Only some pages are wrong? Use Organize PDF to rotate pages individually.

All pages turn together

This tool applies the same angle to every page. If a document mixes portrait and landscape pages, rotating everything will fix some pages and break others; use Organize PDF for per-page rotation.

  • Open the result in the app the recipient is likely to use; rotation is saved in the file, so it should look the same everywhere.
  • Check a page with text to confirm it reads left to right.
  • The file size stays almost the same, since no page is re-drawn.

Is the rotation saved permanently?

Yes. The new angle is saved into the PDF, so the pages open the right way in any reader, on any device.

Can I rotate just one page?

This tool rotates every page by the same angle. To rotate single pages, use Organize PDF, which has a rotate button on each page.

Does rotating a PDF reduce quality?

No. Rotation is stored as a page setting rather than by redrawing the page, so text and images are untouched and the file size barely changes.

Which angle turns my page to the left?

270° clockwise is the same as 90° anticlockwise (to the left). 90° turns pages to the right, and 180° flips upside-down pages.
