Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.

To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

Add your signature to a PDF without printing and scanning

Rental agreements, school consent forms, offer letters and invoices often just need a visible signature and a date. Sign PDF lets you place a signature image and text such as your name or the date onto the page, then download the signed copy. It works on scanned documents too, because the signature is placed as an image on top of the page.

  • Signing an offer letter or NDA and emailing it back the same day.
  • Adding a signature and date to a consent or leave form.
  • Initialling each page of an agreement.

Place a signature, then add text where needed

Create or add your signature as an image, then position and resize it on the page you choose. Text items work the same way for your printed name, date or initials. Positions are stored relative to the page, so they land where you placed them even on unusual page sizes.

  • A signature image with a transparent background (PNG) looks cleanest on coloured or lined forms.
  • Place the date as text rather than handwriting it, so it stays readable.
  • Add initials to every page separately if the document asks for it.

A visible signature, not a certificate-based digital signature

This adds your signature as an image on the page. It is what most everyday forms mean by "sign and return", but it is not a cryptographic digital signature backed by a certificate, which some tax, tender and government systems require. The signature and text are added on top of the page and are not locked against editing.

  • Zoom in to check the signature isn't overlapping printed text or a signature line.
  • Make sure every required page is signed and dated.
  • Keep an unsigned original in case you need to redo it.
  • Save the signed copy under a new name so you don't mix it up with the unsigned original.

Sign PDF: questions

Is this a legally valid electronic signature?

It places a visible signature image on the document, which many organisations accept for everyday forms, offer letters and agreements. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, which some tax, tender and government systems require. If you're unsure, ask the recipient what they accept.

How do I create my signature?

Draw it, type your name, or upload a photo or scan of your signature. A dark signature on a transparent or white background looks best.

Can I sign multiple pages?

Yes. Place the signature, initials or date on each page that needs them before saving.

Can the recipient move or remove my signature?

The signature is added to the page, not locked. Someone with a PDF editor could change it, which is also true of most simple e-signatures.

Is my signature stored or uploaded?

No. The signature and the PDF stay in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
