Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.
To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

How to make an image 1920 × 1080
Drop the image and download. It's resized to exactly 1920 × 1080 pixels, the Full HD 16:9 size, using Crop to fill: the centre is kept and whatever doesn't fit the 16:9 shape is trimmed from the edges, so nothing is stretched. Switch to Stretch if you need every part of the original kept.
Step by step
- 01Drop the image; 1920 × 1080 and Crop to fill are set.
- 02Check what the crop keeps in the preview.
- 03If the subject is near an edge, crop to 16:9 yourself first with Crop image.
- 04Download.
Where 1920 × 1080 is used
1920 × 1080 is the resolution of Full HD monitors, TVs and laptop screens, the default slide size in PowerPoint and Google Slides at 16:9, and the frame size of 1080p video. A 1920 × 1080 image fills those screens edge to edge without black bars.
- Desktop and TV wallpapers.
- Full-bleed images on presentation slides.
- Title cards and still frames for 1080p videos.
From portrait photos
A vertical phone photo is the opposite shape to 16:9, so Crop to fill keeps only a horizontal band from the middle. That works for landscapes, but can cut heads off portraits. For those, crop the band you want with Crop image set to 16:9, then resize.
Questions
Is 1920×1080 the same as 1080p?
Yes. 1080p, Full HD and FHD all mean 1920 × 1080 pixels in a 16:9 shape.
My image is smaller than 1920 pixels wide. Will it look good?
Scaling a small image up softens it, because resizing can't add detail. Start from the largest version you have, or try Upscale image first.
Will the file be large?
A 1920 × 1080 JPG is usually a few hundred kilobytes. Use the compressor afterwards if a site sets a size limit.
Is my image uploaded?
No. It's resized in this browser tab.
