Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.
To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

How to resize a JPG
Drop the JPG, then type a width or height. With the aspect ratio locked the other side follows, so nothing stretches. For an exact box like 600 × 600, unlock the ratio and choose Crop to fill, which trims the edges instead of squashing the photo. Download a JPG saved at 90% quality.
Step by step
- 01Add one JPG or a batch.
- 02Type the width or height, or drag the handles on the preview.
- 03For an exact box, unlock the ratio and pick Crop to fill.
- 04Resize and download.
Shrinking is clean; enlarging is not
Making a JPG smaller in pixels keeps it sharp and makes the file much lighter. Making it bigger only spreads the existing detail over more pixels, so it looks soft; use Upscale image if you really need a larger version.
- Email and chat: 1600–2000 px on the long side is plenty.
- Website images: match the width the page displays, often 800–1600 px.
- Profile photos: a square of 400–800 px.
File size follows the pixels
Halving the width and height cuts the pixel count to a quarter, so the file usually drops to a quarter or less. If a form also has a KB limit, run the result through Compress JPG afterwards.
Questions
Does resizing a JPG reduce quality?
Shrinking keeps it sharp; the JPG is re-saved at 90% quality, which looks the same at normal size. Enlarging always looks softer.
How do I resize a JPG to a square without stretching?
Unlock the aspect ratio, enter the same width and height, and choose Crop to fill. The centre of the photo is kept and the long edges are trimmed.
Are camera details kept?
Yes, Keep camera metadata copies EXIF and the colour profile. Turn it off to remove the location before sharing.
Can I resize many JPGs to the same size?
Yes. Add a batch; every photo gets the same width and height, or the same percentage.
