Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.

To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

Turn an SVG logo or icon into a PNG

SVG is ideal for websites, but many places (social profiles, Office documents, some upload forms and messaging apps) need a PNG. SVG to PNG renders the vector graphic as a normal image.

  • Using an SVG logo as a profile picture or in a slide.
  • Sending an icon to someone whose app can't open SVG.
  • Uploading a vector graphic to a platform that accepts only raster images.
  • Making a PNG favicon or app icon from an SVG source.

Rendered at the SVG's own size

The PNG uses the width and height defined in the SVG file. For a larger, sharp PNG, open the SVG in Image Resizer instead and set the size there; it renders the vector at that size rather than enlarging pixels.

External fonts and images may be missing

SVGs that link to web fonts or external images can render with fallback fonts or blank areas, because browsers don't load outside resources when drawing an SVG as an image. SVGs without a defined size may render very small. Transparent backgrounds are kept.

  • Check text and embedded pictures rendered correctly.

SVG to PNG: questions

How do I get a larger PNG from my SVG?

Open the SVG in Image Resizer and set the width you want. It renders the vector at that size, so edges stay sharp.

Why are fonts wrong in the PNG?

The SVG links to a web font that isn't loaded when the SVG is drawn as an image. Convert text to outlines in your design app, then export the SVG again.

Is the transparent background kept?

Yes. Areas without fill stay transparent in the PNG.

Why is my PNG tiny?

The SVG has no width and height set, or they're small. Set a size in Image Resizer instead.
