Ink colour, threshold and trimming
The ink threshold is found automatically from the photo; lower it if grey paper is left behind, raise it if thin strokes break up. Edges are kept soft so the signature doesn't look jagged. Keep colour preserves blue or black ink; Black or Blue recolours it evenly. Trim to ink crops the image tightly around the signature with a small margin.
Good input makes a clean signature
Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper and photograph it in daylight, straight on, without shadows. Lined or coloured paper, and creases, can leave marks; lower the threshold or crop first. Only use your own signature, and keep the file somewhere private.

How do I make my signature transparent?

Why is there a grey haze around my signature?
The paper was in shadow or off-white. Lower the ink threshold until the haze disappears, or retake the photo in daylight.
Can I change the ink to blue or black?
Yes. Choose Black or Blue to recolour the ink evenly, or Keep colour to leave it as written.
How do I put the signature on a PDF?
