Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.

To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

How to remove something from a photo

Add the photo, paint over the object with the brush (zoom in for the edges), and run the tool. An inpainting model looks at the pixels around your strokes and paints a plausible background into the gap. It works best when the object is small compared with the photo and the background is fairly simple: sky, sand, grass, walls, water.

Step by step

  1. 01Add the photo.
  2. 02Paint over the object, including its shadow.
  3. 03Preview; add strokes over anything that still shows.
  4. 04Download the result.

What works and what does not

The model invents background; it does not know what was really behind the object. Small things on plain or repeating backgrounds disappear cleanly. A person covering half of a detailed building will leave a soft, smeared patch.

  • Include shadows and reflections in the painted area.
  • Remove several small things in one go; each is filled separately with its own surroundings.
  • If the object sits at the very edge, cropping it out with Crop image is often cleaner than filling it.

Only for photos you may edit

Use it on photos you took or have permission to edit, not to strip credits or watermarks from someone else's work.

Questions

How big can the photo be?

Up to 40 megapixels. The fill works on a region around each painted area, so large photos stay fast.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Paint with a finger and pinch to zoom. The model runs on the phone itself, so older phones can take noticeably longer than a computer.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything runs in this tab; only the model weights are downloaded, once.
