Counted with the browser's Performance API during the last job. It sees every request the page makes, but not what is inside them, so anything that is not a static download is counted above.
To check yourself: open DevTools → Network, clear the list, run the tool, and inspect each request. None will contain your file. You can also switch to offline after the page loads; tools whose engine is already downloaded keep working.

What 3.5 × 4.5 cm means in pixels
At 300 DPI, 3.5 × 4.5 cm is 413 × 531 pixels. The tool crops your photo to that 7:9 shape (drag the frame to choose what stays), resizes it to exactly those pixels and writes 300 DPI into the file so it prints at 3.5 × 4.5 cm.
Step by step
- 01Add the photo.
- 02Drag the frame so your head and shoulders are centred.
- 03Download the 413 × 531 px image (JPG for JPG and HEIC photos, PNG otherwise).
- 04If a form also gives a KB limit, use the form photo resizer instead: it fits the size and the KB range together.
Printing or uploading?
For printing, 300 DPI is the standard: the photo lab prints 413 × 531 px at exactly 3.5 × 4.5 cm. For uploading, many forms only care about the pixel size and file size; check whether they ask for different pixels, such as 350 × 450.
- Several copies on one sheet: use the passport photo maker's A4 or 4 × 6 sheet.
- Head size rules (for example 32–36 mm chin to crown) are shown in the passport photo maker's guides.
Questions
Is 3.5 × 4.5 cm the same as 35 × 45 mm?
Yes. It is the same size, written in centimetres instead of millimetres.
Will my photo be stretched?
No. It is cropped to the 3.5 × 4.5 shape first, then resized, so faces keep their proportions.
Can I choose 600 DPI?
Yes. Change the DPI and the pixel size doubles to 827 × 1063 px, still printing at 3.5 × 4.5 cm.
