How to mirror a video
Drop the video and save. Every frame is mirrored left to right and re-encoded as H.264, so the flip is baked into the picture and plays the same in every app. You can add a 90° or 180° turn in the same pass if the video is also sideways or upside down.

Fixing mirrored selfie videos
Some front cameras and apps save selfie videos mirrored, so text on clothing or signs reads backwards and things appear on the wrong side. Mirroring once more puts everything the right way round.
Why flipping re-encodes
A rotation can sometimes be stored as a note in the file, but there's no reliable equivalent for a mirror, so every frame is redrawn and encoded as H.264. That takes longer than a simple copy and changes quality very slightly.
- Longer and higher-resolution videos take longer.
- Trim the video first if you only need part of it.
